Our government believes in taking concrete initiatives for the development of Youth in all walks of life", says Rana Shoaib Idrees Government College Women University Faisalabad organised closing ceremony of Punjab Volleyball Provincial League under the auspices of Prime Minister's Youth Programme. Former member provincial assembly, Mr. Rana Shoaid Idrees was the chief guest of the event. The Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof Dr Zill-i-Huma Nazli attended the ceremony as guest of honour. Expressing his views, Rana Shoaib Idrees declared the event a happy occasion for the university to successfully hosting the provincial volleyball league here in Faisalabad. He congratulated the team of Faisalabad region on winning the league. He further remarked that the government of Pakistan is taking strong initiatives in empowering Pakistani youth in every respect. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof Dr Zill-i-Huma Nazli congratulated the winning team and encouraged all the teams to work harder for upcoming National League. She paid special gratitude to Prime Minister of Pakistan and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Miss Shiza Fatima Khwaja for promotion of young talent in the field of sports. She appreciated the efforts of HEC under able leadership of Prof Dr Mukhtar and Director Sports HEC Mr. Javed Ali Memon under whose patronage Director Sports GCWUF Ms. Fehmida Ayub could organise the mega sports event successfully. Mr. Zeeshan Khan Director Sports Government College University Faisalabad, Mr. Rafiq Wahla Ex-Director Sports Government College University Faisalabad, and Deputy Director Sports GCUF Mr. Ashfaq Ali attended the ceremony as guests. Mr Zeeshan Ahmad Khan presented an overview of the Youth Sports League in Punjab province. Controller of Examinations Mrs Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa, Treasurer Mr. Anser Mughal, Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sameen, Chairperson Department of Mathematics Prof Dr Saima Akram, Coordinator Faculty of Humanities and Languages Dr Rukhsana Baloch, all directors, principal officers and teaching and non-teaching staff attended the ceremony. The chief guest distributed medals and Cash prize of Rs. 10000 for each player of the winning team. The runner up team received medals and cash prize of Rs. 5000 for each player, and the team of the third position was awarded medals and cash prize of Rs 3000 for each player.
